Social/Emotional Development of Children

As your child progresses through school, social and emotional development is emphasized in the classroom. While this is linked to overall development, social/emotional development is more abstract in nature and is sometimes referred to as "soft skills". Essentially, children are learning how to be trustworthy and honest as well as how to work with others through effective communication and conflict resolution.
